Hearty Girl is a summer unstructured nature-based play program for girls ages 5-10 based in Duluth,MN. It is classified as a recreational program through the city of Duluth. Operating in Duluth green spaces with a commercial operations permit.

What

Unstructured nature-based play is the educational concept of allowing children the freedom to explore, create and discover without predetermined rules or guidelines. Children take turns, learn to listen and share, develop imaginary scenarios and make decisions together. All sessions will utilize the local environment as the starting point to teach and grow. Programming will be held outside in (safe) weather. Parents will be responsible for transportation.

When and Where

Offered weekly Monday - Thursday. Cohorts are established based on student's chosen attendance days. Most families select one to two days to attend.

Schedule (June 12th - August 10th)

9 am - 1 pm

All programming will be held outside at a local Duluth green space. Will remain at the same location for the entirety of the schedule month.

Cost

$40 ($10 per hour) per child. If programing is shortened due to inclement weather hourly rate is applied.

$25.00 annual registration fee.

Payments accepted cash, check, Venmo.

Payment due weekly or monthly.
